Books will not be affected by the rise in VAT to 23%, that is, reading will still cost 6% of its benefits. But it's worth it.

Receive worlds from the world.

The magazine that my brother buys (Ler) costs 5 euros. It's expensive, but it's cheap!

I read eagerly, perhaps too eagerly. I found funny, interesting, fascinating chronicles, unforgettable interviews, notes and reviews worthy of note. And from there I brought some suggestions of books I want to read and others I've already read.

Some unknowns that arouse curiosity, such as Andréa del Fuego, Brazilian, from her trilogy

"I lie while I can," "Nego tudo" and "Engano seu", followed by the book awarded (perhaps his last) by the 2010 José Saramago Prize: "Os Malaquias". Also for those who like intimate literature with a lot of romance in the mix, Júlia Navarro in "Tell me who I am!" There is also another name that makes me very curious, Ali Smith, the writer of "Free Love and Other Stories" (from Quetzal).

Gabriel Garcia Marquez is an author to stay in a huge corridor alone, from where he enchants and seduces us with each book written, such as all the ones he wrote and even more so this "Of love and other demons".

José Eduardo Agualusa's chronicle walks among the geckos, dwarfs and pearls and portrays an interesting analysis of Rosa Montero, the author of books among which I highlight the ones I read, "A louca da Casa" - Ermelinda's suggestion that I thanked - and "Instructions to save the world" and this author bridges the gap between his book "The year Zumbi took the river" and the books of the author whom he says shares an obsession with geckos and dwarfs. About writers in general, he says: Obsessions, revolts and passions are the sand that disturbs the spirit of writers, we write in response to these concerns.

Another of the recommended readings will be "Pilgrimage" by Emanuel Jhesus. António Lobo Antunes and his most recent novel "Commission of Tears", "Building the Enemy" by Umberto Eco, "The Prophets" by Alice Vieira, "Living at the End of Times" by Slavoj Zizek, "The Son of a Thousand Men" by Válter Hugo Mãe and also by João Magueijo, the author of "Faster than Light", "The Grand Inquisitor" published by Gradiva. The literary interviews take place between George Steiner and António Lobo Antunes (without cuts) and he was also interviewed by Carlos Vaz Marques, João Magueijo who, from his country, says: Portugal should be closed for disinfection". To reread, "The Roses of Atacama" by Luis Sepúlveda, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Then, recommendations to delight yourself with the poets. We don't need recommendations like this, in fact it's so easy to fall into the vast meshes of poetry, but in the form of a motto: Tomas Transtromer, T.S.Elliot, Charles Baudelaire, Al Berto, Yvette K Centeno, Ana Luísa Amaral, António Ramos Rosa, Ruy Belo, Helena Carvalhão Buesco, Hélia Correia, José Agostinho Baptista, Manuel António Pina, Rosa Alice Branco and many others. This magazine is a hundred number of suggestions open in all directions and artistic areas, so this review of what I read falls short, literally, of the much that can be read there, in Ler. But then, in the Diário de Notícias, in addition to the great article of the 80 Portuguese Freemasons, we find cinematographic suggestions such as: The restless of Gus Van Sant, the same director of the controversial film about homosexuality, Milk. With eyes wide shut by Stanley Kubrick, An intense film where the roots of a secret society and its initiatory rites are exposed in a somewhat feverish way, it has the participation of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in the protagonist. Still with the same breath, a reading that emerged in the sequence of this film, Frederic Raphael and his "With eyes wide open", unravels Kubrik's editing. Still in terms of cinema, because Wim Wanders is well known as a director (The Wings of Desire, etc.), this author now turns to Once that will awaken a wave of interest around him. And also to be talked about "Pluto" by Barrie W. Jones. Ben Hur has been reissued. "Tulpan" is also going to be talked about and it's by Sergey Dvortsvoy, from Bradford Cox, "Parallax".

In terms of music, Sérgio Godinho with "Mutual consent" and Jorge Palma "With all respect", fill in the national blank pages, among others. Sparklehorse releases new album "Dreamt for light years in the belly of a mountain", corroborating that music is a space where princes and commoners stay, where rawness is only and only the acoustic amplitude of the most human aspect in us. Sigur Rós releases Heima, a DVD that shows the strong relationship between the band and its people, after touring around the world. Arvo Part edits Lamentate and Carl Orff Orpheus. One of my favorite singers edits Bad as me, the huge Tom Waits.

Along with the magazine Ler, which is not free and has contributions from organizations, Inútil is a magazine of several authors made by carolice and love for the arts and thus distributed. Full of content. It's also important to know that in terms of web mania, A study was carried out on the Second love website where it was concluded that infidelity increases the self-esteem of the Portuguese (won't it increase everyone?) And for greater pleasure, Cinematic, Build a home.
