Why this petition matters

Started by Expose NPH

We need urgent reform in our mental health inpatient care system. We need a deep investigation in NeuroPsychiatric Hospital Networks practices and laws to protect patients!

Patients are transferred from Michigan to Indiana for inpatient care, without being given the right to refuse or prevent this out-of-state transfer.

People suffer medication errors, abuse, neglect, fraud, coercion, rights violations, sub standard care and more. I was detained without proper care or respect for my rights. Fraudulent practices were rampant; hygiene supplies were inadequate; there was a lack of provider face time and an absence of programs, therapies or structured activities.

This is not just about me - it's about all those who have been subjected to unethical treatment within psychiatric facilities that prioritize profit over patient welfare. It's about creating awareness of these issues that are so easily swept under the rug by these institutions.

We call upon lawmakers and healthcare regulators to enact systemic reforms that will improve mental health inpatient care. We demand stricter oversight on psychiatric facilities' operations and stronger protections for patients' rights that are lacking from Indiana HEA 1006.

The current state of NPH’s practices is unacceptable – it infringes upon patients basic human rights! Let us stand together against such injustices and fight for better mental health care standards across America! Please sign this petition today – your support could make a world of difference!
